GM does a lot of really cool work in various markets. My experience has been that they are very encouraging of providing opportunities to do different jobs to grow in your career, as opposed to locking you into a job for life. They pay well and have good benefits. I hear good things about working from GM from people who work for competitors.
For me, being from out of state, I feel that I can only work for GM doing the work that I'm passionate about in Michigan. I don't like this big company where you're just another number at the end of the day.

It was well handled. Everything was clearly laid out; I was aware of the process through every step. My interviewers were very nice and answered all of my questions. My coordinator for the hiring process was also responsive over email.
