My peers here are incredibly smart, talented, knowledgeable, experienced, eager to share and help, and a joy to work with. Ignoring the excellent compensation and benefits, and the developing career opportunities, these people alone are worth working at GitHub for. The product is constantly getting better, and the people here care intensely about continuing that trend.
Organizational changes have been slow and a bit rocky. Many I've spoken to have reported bad experiences with managers or peers, though most others are perfectly happy and growing.
Business strategy communication is weak, making it harder to sync up with leadership.
Transparency is a cultural cornerstone. If you are changing that, or any other cultural facet, be deliberate and explicit about it.
