Pros

Everything is remote at GitLab, and you are a manager of one. You are trusted to assess your priorities properly and organize your days accordingly. Flexible working hours and a "family first" culture are in place. An indefinite leave policy is available, as long as you achieve your objectives. Working longer hours doesn't necessarily mean good results.

Cons

It can be a little isolating to be always home, but Gitlab allows you also to rent a shared working space to socialize.

Advice to Management

It isn't simple to maintain such a great culture across all departments, especially when people do not meet face to face early in their onboarding. So, I would suggest allocating some budget for face-to-face internal meetings, especially at the beginning.
