I interviewed for a Software Development Engineer (SDE) intern position at GoDaddy.

The interview process consisted of:

• One online assessment
• Two technical rounds

The panel was friendly throughout.

OA problems were on topic: greedy technique on arrays and MST in graphs.

The first round included a mix of data structures and algorithm questions, SQL queries, and object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts. Some of the key questions were:

• DSA Problems:
  • Reverse a Linked List
  • Implement a Queue using Two Stacks
• SQL Queries: Two easy queries based on basic operations.
• OOP Concepts: I was asked to explain the difference between inheritance and polymorphism.
• Python: I had to write code for an array problem and explain the difference between Python arrays and JavaScript arrays.
• React vs. JavaScript: The panel asked me to compare the two technologies.
• System Design: There was a design problem related to your project.
• HR Questions: I was also asked about my five-year vision and how I would manage my time if given one month to learn a new technology like machine learning.

The panel also asked problems from OS, DBMS, and puzzles.

The second round was focused on the development side, with an emphasis on React and JavaScript:

• Development Questions: I faced questions directly related to React and JavaScript, requiring a solid understanding of both frameworks and their practical applications.
• Python: I was tasked with solving a problem using dictionaries and writing code to find students aged 18 or older.
• SQL: A challenging SQL query was presented, requiring more advanced knowledge.

I also found that the interviewers asked several questions based on the content in my resume. Therefore, it's crucial to ensure that your resume only includes experiences and skills that you genuinely possess. Highlight relevant projects and technologies you are comfortable discussing, as this can lead to more engaging conversations during the interview.
