Process

I was reached out to, so I skipped the recruiter screen.

The technical interview consisted of two back-to-back interviews, each lasting one hour.

The first engineer spent roughly 15 minutes asking about me and my resume background. We then worked on one easy coding problem.

The next engineer also spent 15 minutes asking about me and my technical background. We then worked on another easy coding problem.

The final round was a chat with an engineering manager. It was very chill, and the manager mostly asked behavioral questions.

Questions

One thing that stuck out to me was this question:

"What's the difference between Node.js and Java? More specifically, what is the programming style of Node.js, where you use async/await, compared to Java, where you use parallelization?"

Was this helpful?
