Remote work - offers a lot of flexibility in terms of getting the work done in your own time.
Mentorship and decent career growth available if you take the initiative to be engaged and ask questions.
The Affinity Groups are very nice community builders.
Good learning opportunities, access to learning platforms and courses.
The team keeps getting filled with new offshore contractors (mainly from India) after pushing out full-time employees. This not only gets morale low (Am I the next one on the chopping block?) but also timezone differences make it very hard to collaborate with team members, reducing the quality of work experience.
There is a huge gap in knowledge sharing across the organization. It takes a lot of time to find information because not every team does responsible documentation.
Even though there's unlimited PTO, there's a subtle pressure to not take very many days off, at least in my team.
There is a communication gap between teams with not many people to bridge it, which makes it very hard to do cross-team collaboration.
Do better communication with employees and try to keep at least half the people in the team in similar time zones. Co-workers with PST, EST, and CT is alright, but when most of the co-workers are in IST time zone, it gets very hard to collaborate. Pick better managers who are interested in the employees' career growth and supporting them.
Got to learn a lot from the interview. As a fresher, this was my third interview. The remaining words are just to complete the 30-word policy on Glassdoor. Then, I did not get any opportunity for an interview. That was my last interview.
There was first an aptitude with coding round. After clearing it, there was a 1-hour interview on programming, with 1 DSA question (20 mins) and JS knowledge (30 mins).
I applied through LinkedIn Jobs and received a call for an interview. They conducted two mandatory rounds. I received an email for the interview, and they also provided the opportunity to schedule it according to my availability.
