One of the best reasons to work at GoDaddy is the incredible opportunity for growth. I started my journey as a Migration Agent, and over my five years with the company, I experienced significant professional development.
After two years on the Migration Team, I transitioned to the SRE team. Initially, I assisted with QA automation, and within a year, I advanced to an SRE role. This position allowed me to work on multiple projects, gaining extensive knowledge across various systems. At GoDaddy, you'll find a dynamic environment where you can continuously expand your skills and expertise.
While working at GoDaddy has been an incredibly rewarding experience, there are a few challenges to be aware of.
The dynamic and fast-paced environment, while exciting, can sometimes result in high workloads and tight deadlines, which might impact work-life balance. Additionally, the company's rapid growth and evolving priorities require flexibility and adaptability from employees. The competitive atmosphere, though motivating, can also create a sense of pressure to consistently excel.
Occasionally, resources can be stretched thin, making some tasks more challenging to complete efficiently.
Despite these challenges, I truly value my time at GoDaddy and appreciate the growth and opportunities it has provided.
To improve the working environment at GoDaddy, management should focus on creating more workshops and learning opportunities. Here are key suggestions:
More Workshops: Organize regular workshops on various topics, including technical skills, industry trends, and personal development. Involving employees in planning ensures relevance and engagement.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Encourage workshops that bring together employees from different departments. This fosters collaboration, breaks down silos, and promotes knowledge sharing.
Continuous Learning: Invest in ongoing education by providing access to online courses, certifications, and industry conferences. Support employees in pursuing further education to enhance their skills.
Mentorship Programs: Establish mentorship programs to help employees grow professionally and personally. Mentorship can provide valuable guidance and support, improving overall job satisfaction and performance.
Describing past experience through a question and answer session. This began with the office manager, and then continued with one of the company's CTOs. The company was later purchased by GoDaddy. The talk with the CTO was conducted over Skype. Aft
An OA was conducted. It was doable, but the SQL question was a little difficult. I couldn't clear the round, but I heard that the interviews were nice, based on DSA, OOP, and resume.
Got to learn a lot from the interview. As a fresher, this was my third interview. The remaining words are just to complete the 30-word policy on Glassdoor. Then, I did not get any opportunity for an interview. That was my last interview.
