Dev Ops Interview Experience - Salt Lake City, Utah

Process

I received an initial interview offer following a discussion with a recruiter on campus.

The interview process began with a review of my resume and my education level in computer science.

I was then asked to describe the structure of an application designed to optimize a superior's daily schedule. This optimization would be based on the length and rank of importance for a list of meetings the superior had scheduled.

It was an easy enough interview question, though I was too early in my education to know how to implement it programmatically at the time.

Questions

How would you design an app to organize this schedule of meetings, keeping the importance of each meeting in mind, while trying to fit as many meetings in a given day as possible?
