Cons: Tech salaries are about 10-20% below market. Super strict environment. SEC restrictions abound. They train you every year on the countless reasons for which you can be fired. Very much a "what have you done for me lately" culture. Unless you're an intern or a new college hire, whatever you do is never good enough. The best you can hope for is a neutral "ok, you can keep your job today." Highly political. Fear is the key motivator. High turn-over. Guaranteed layoffs every year of the lowest performing 5-10%. Mgmt not worried about turn-over because they heavily recruit new blood from universities.
