The process was good. Initially, there were a couple of phone screens, followed by an on-site visit consisting of four interviews. Two of them were with really senior folks who listened carefully and asked really good questions when I started designing the system.
Some interviewers were very rude. Before you could even finish explaining something, they would immediately ask 'why.' If you started answering, they would again ask 'why.' You were given hardly a few seconds to justify your answers. It was like they were looking for bookish answers, which is not possible in the real world.
Not all the interviewers were the same; some were really nice, allowing you to justify your answers.
One interviewer gave me the problem of designing a parking lot. When I started asking a couple of questions, he said, 'Just design the parking lot, don't ask anything.' I asked if the parking lot was single-floor or multi-floor, and he responded, 'How is that relevant?' This was truly horrible, as they were not at all allowing you to speak anything.
