I took the interview in May 2019 in Bengaluru.
The interview process starts with a HackerRank coding challenge, where you will get two questions. You need to solve both questions within exactly 1 hour and 30 minutes. (Both questions are relatively easy to solve).
You will be able to see your score for this round once you submit both answers.
The second round is a CoderPad round. Here, you will be monitored by a GS employee. This round is scheduled for exactly 1 hour, and you need to solve two questions within this time.
The first question needs to be solved in 20 minutes. After you solve it, the interviewer will ask you to add more test cases for the given problem. The second question will be medium-level.
(Note: The questions are not excessively tough to solve, but 1 hour is definitely not enough for many candidates. It is very difficult to come up with the most optimized solution for two medium-level questions within 1 hour, unless the given questions are familiar to you).
Interviewers will not consider you for the next level even if your approach is correct but you are unable to correctly implement the solution within the given time.
Based on your performance, you will get a call for the next level of interview.
Question related to Pascal's Triangle. Given the row and column index, you need to identify the element at that position.
2D Matrix Problem. Given a 2D array, each cell is filled with some numbers. A robot can move either upwards or in the right direction. You need to find the maximum sum that it can get on traversing through the matrix.
