Process

I was contacted via LinkedIn by an HR person from Goldman Sachs. We had a conversation about my current work and the technologies I use.

I was told I would be sent a HackerRank coding round as a first step.

There were two coding questions of easy to moderate difficulty, both of which I was able to complete.

I received no response from HR after completing the first round for about a month. After that period, I contacted her.

She seemed to have no recollection of my application and told me she would look into it and call back. There was no call from her.

I contacted her again a few days later and received the same response.

The next time I contacted her, she admitted that I had successfully completed the coding round. She stated that another person from HR was responsible for scheduling the next round of interviews and that her role was essentially concluded.

She said she would contact that person and get the interview scheduled. This never happened, and I was unable to contact her again.

I was left wondering why I was reached out to in the first place and did not pursue it further.

Questions
