I had my first round of HackerRank test on October 29th. I found out whether I had cleared the test almost two weeks later.
Secondly, there was a CoderPad round, which also went well.
For the third and further rounds of discussion, they called for an F2F (face-to-face) interview. It was initially scheduled for Friday but was delayed by two days. This happened again the following Tuesday.
There was one round of interview that lasted almost two hours. Two interviewers conducted the interview. They asked about core Java concepts and a few logical puzzles. Later, they asked me to wait for the next round as the interview panel was busy. I waited for a couple of minutes. Again, they said the panel was busy and to wait a while. After almost 20 minutes, they informed me that the panel was not available that day. They stated my HR would connect with me to provide information on the next round and its date.
The next day, I received a call from HR, and she conveyed the same message: she would inform me of the date for the next round. However, shortly after, I received an email stating that my candidature was not suitable for the position I had applied for.
Firstly, they asked me to wait. Next, HR said the same thing, and then I received the regret email. I don't know what went wrong, or if this is just GS's way of making a person wait and then reject them.
Basically, it was from collections and data structures.
