Software Engineer Interview Experience - Dallas, Texas

February 23, 2018
Negative ExperienceNo Offer

Process

It started off pretty well with a Coderpad interview, followed by a three-hour phone interview and then another Coderpad interview with an increase in difficulty.

The recruiter didn't get back to me for a month, and later I received an invitation for an onsite interview. This interview was changed to a video conference for an unknown reason and lasted for two hours. It was a decent interview.

After that, the recruiter informed me that the team was reviewing my feedback for over a month. I couldn't wait any longer when I received an offer from another company. I asked the recruiter if there was any update on my application, mentioning that I had an offer elsewhere but still preferred Goldman Sachs.

The recruiter then provided an update stating that the team was not pursuing my candidature at this time.

I have no idea what they expect from a candidate. Sad!
