Software Engineer Interview Experience - Japan

August 1, 2018
Negative ExperienceNo Offer

Process

The interview process consisted of:

  • 1 HR phone interview
  • 1 Coderpad interview
  • 6 onsite interviews (each round was 1 hour, facing 2 people)

Interview questions were not related to the position I applied for, nor the daily tasks I would be performing given the job description. Candidates should ensure they prepare for the questions posted here and get ready for TopCoder and HackerRank-style programming tests.

I did not hear back from HR after the last interview. This is disappointing, considering the significant time I invested in the entire process.

Questions

Why are you looking for a job?

2 HackerRank problems and Hash Map implementation for the CoderPad interview.
