Tech - 2018 is looking good

Pros: Wow, upper management is really pushing for top tech. This is awesome if you are in the Tech or Starts division. I hear high-performing analysts this year received around a 40k bonus and a 30% salary increase, which is unprecedented. I'm not sure how they compensated people at higher levels. Upper management is trying to match other tech companies' compensation to compete for top people now.
Cons: In some teams, expect to work multiple weekends and also stay late. On an average day, people leave around 7 PM. Some people log back in when they get home.

Pros: Decent working hours, a good network of software engineers, and tech managers are hands-on.
Cons: Too much politics, teams are sometimes competing rather than trying to achieve a common goal.
Too many meetings, committees, and meetings to prepare for those meetings, etc.
