Pros
  • Interesting and nice people.
  • Nice view from the office.
Cons

A CEO that hires people and fires them because he made a wrong bet. David Solomon is holding contractors hostage. The CEO of this big firm does not have a clue how to plan a budget beyond 2 months.

I've survived layoffs, but now there are no QAs, there are no analysts, and nobody knows what to do. What are the goals? What is expected?

Senior management planned this since October. It is January. People were just laid off on random criteria. Actually, people who were doing something were sacked. Those who maybe earned less are still within the company.

Old tech stack, you'll learn nothing. You will be constrained by GS systems.

Build times are taking forever. David Solomon does not care about improving the productivity of engineers. He chooses to fire random people instead of investing in hardware.

This company just runs on brand, not on doing anything exceptional.

Advice to Management

You don't care about people, so no need to advise you.
