Standard Google interviews. There are 3 generalist algorithm coding questions, 1 embedded coding with algorithms, and lastly, Googliness.
None of the 5 interviewers were currently embedded SDEs. Only one of them did some embedded software, but he left the team to join the army of generalists.
IMO, Google should at least respect embedded Software Engineers by providing interviewers who are truly embedded, or at least know C/C++ syntax.
Advice to embedded candidates: it might be better to just do LeetCoding with Python. This way, you don't have to explain to an interviewer why you use passing by const reference and save valuable time explaining to interviewers who might only know Java.
