Google Work Experiences

The highest-paid place to be a software developer, financially and professionally.

Engenheiro De Software • Current Employee

Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil

Pros: Working on the world's most impactful projects, with the best colleagues to work with and learn from. An open, frank corporate culture willing to change to accommodate employees. The compensation package (salary+bonus+stocks) is out of this world for the Brazilian reality.

Cons: The office is small and lacks much diversity of projects to choose from. Changing teams is also risky, as internal growth, recognition, and the acquisition of responsibilities are slow. As a satellite office, we also have little independence from the American headquarters, and even from policies implemented in the São Paulo office.

Pros: Work dynamics. The possibility of you being able to build your own work schedule greatly helps to bring new results and enjoy more.

Cons: I didn't spend much time at the company to be able to concretely and affirmatively cite the negative points. However, what I can already speak about are the benefits, which are not many and which they should give more of.
