Applied online mid-November through my school's recruiter (I attend a top CS school).

Received an email two days later to set up my interviews. Interviewed in early December.

First interview: I slipped up a bit on a strings problem, but my interviewer was very helpful and understanding and guided me through the rest of the problem.

Second interview went well.

Received an offer about a week and a half later and accepted shortly after that.

Signed an NDA.

I read "Cracking the Coding Interview" and the advice that Google gives for interview preparation.

I crammed the information from those the night before and did fine.
