L3 Software Engineer Interview Experience - Mountain View, California

Process

It was painful to contact the recruiter to set up the onsite interview after I passed the phone screen. She would drop off and then come back weeks later.

The onsite interview was easy. It included:

  • A dynamic programming problem
  • String processing
  • An A* search algorithm
  • A general interview

The recruiter dropped off again after the onsite interview. When she returned weeks later, I had passed, but the hiring cycle was closed.

I was really annoyed at this point because I don't know if I would have gotten matched if my recruiter had been more responsive.

Questions

A chess problem. I can't remember the specifics, but it might have been all the legal knight move combinations.
