They didn't indicate so in the job offering, but it seemed they wanted software engineers for their QA. Every question the online Google Docs interviewer gave me was coding-related. Not a single one about process or testing technique.
We were talking about RegEx, and the interviewer gave me a few problems to solve. I provided the answers. One of which would take considerable more work to cover all the corner cases, so I just covered the basics, but I pointed that out.
He had issues with every answer I provided. We ended the interview after about five questions. I copied and pasted my answers into a text editor that supports RegEx. Every answer matched what was requested perfectly. The interviewer was clearly not qualified to ask the questions he was asking.
I'd heard Google only hired the best, but apparently that doesn't apply to their interviewers.
Please provide a RegEx expression that will validate any email address.
