I'm not really sure this is Google's fault, since I was contacted by a Randstad employee who was handling the recruitment part on behalf of Google. He reached out, asked if I was interested and available, and I responded positively, saying I would love to go through an interview and proposed a date.
He did not respond for almost two weeks. Once he came back, he said something happened and he was not able to get back to me and asked me to reschedule. I said okay, we agreed on a date, he asked for my contact info, and I never heard from him again.
I understand that recruiters contact multiple people and end up hiring the best fit for them, but I do not think this was handled professionally at all. I think I should be notified if the position was covered, or if he changed his mind about the interview.
We did not go through with the interview.
