I previously interviewed at Google and was denied an offer.
About a year later, a recruiter contacted me, believing she had found a role that was a better fit.
We skipped the phone interview and went straight to a three-person on-site interview. I received an offer about two weeks later.
When they discovered I had a competing offer, the recruiter began pushing very hard for me to join. This included offering me more money, arranging discussions with various team members, and even speaking negatively about the other company.
