Software Engineer Interview Experience - Israel

Process

I was referred by a former colleague.

First, I was contacted by a recruiter, who was very pleasant and helpful throughout the process. The process was made clear to me from the start.

I only made it to the first technical screen and didn't pass. The interviewer was stiff but polite, helped guide me as needed, and gave an occasional hint/nudge when they saw I got stuck.

Questions

2 Medium questions.

(chosen language: C++)

  1. Implement code for a class representing a number in digits, with a ++ operator to raise it by 1.

  2. You have an unsorted array. You must design an algorithm to create an array where every even value is greater than its odd neighbors.

So if a[i] is the value at index i (i=0, 1, 2...n), the result must hold that:

a[0] < a[1] > a[2] < a[3] > a[4]...

etc.
