Pros: Everything is good at Google.

Cons: I like everything about Google.

Pros: Despite the direction of the recent changes at the company, including layoffs, cuts, and an overall shift in how the company is perceived internally, most Googlers are still awesome people to work with. The work is usually done with great care, and you can learn a lot from everyone around you.

Cons: The company sometimes seems to change faster than it can operate, causing a lot of non-trivial ambiguity to be navigated. The experience you are going to have inside such a big company can vary a lot. Managers held more power than what the internal training seemed to suggest. Despite being there for only two years, I've seen multiple cases of people getting ahead because of how they portray themselves and others, instead of because of their contributions.

Pros: Very good experience at that point.

Cons: Very hard to get into.
