Process

A friend referred me, and a recruiter contacted me afterward.

I requested two months to prepare for the phone screen.

I had the phone screen, but the recruiter told me I had to take another one. So, I asked for four months to prepare.

I had the second phone screen and a relatively easy/medium coding problem that I solved.

Onsite:

  • Coding interview: This problem is very famous at Google. I solved this question.
  • Coding/Design interview: Related to database and cache, I didn't understand this question very well.
  • Coding interview: A very difficult question. I was only able to provide the brute force solution.
  • Lunch break: A casual conversation with an engineer.
  • Coding interview: A medium coding question related to linked lists. I also had to state the test cases.
  • Behavioral questions.

I didn't get an offer. The recruiter told me I can apply again in one year.
