Process

I received a call from the recruiter. They asked me about my experience and then set up a phone interview.

I ended up doing two phone interviews, but at the end, they said there wasn't a match.

Questions

Pots of Gold Game:

Two players, A and B, participate. There are pots of gold arranged in a line, each containing some gold coins. Players can see the number of coins in each pot (perfect information).

Players take alternating turns. On a turn, a player can pick a pot from either end of the line.

The winner is the player who has a higher number of coins at the end of the game.

The objective is to maximize the number of coins collected by player A, assuming player B also plays optimally. Player A starts the game.
