Pros: To me, an IT professional is someone who works in IT and has a job in IT. It can also be someone who has experience in IT but is temporarily in another job or field, or has had nothing in IT.
Cons: "Cons" can refer to several things depending on the context. It can be used to mean disadvantages or arguments against something, or it can be used in a more informal sense to refer to a con artist or scam, or even as a shortening of the word "convict."
