I was reached out to by a recruiter for a new grad software engineering role. After a small informal phone chat with the recruiter, I was sent a coding challenge with a two-week deadline.

The challenge had two questions, and I believe you had about 90 minutes to complete them. I finished the first one but did not pass all test cases. I did not have any time to start the second one.

I received a personal phone call from the recruiter the very next day about my rejection but was encouraged to apply the following year.
