Pros: Freedom to tackle complex tech challenges however you want. Inspiring, open-minded, collaborative environment and team. Not much micromanagement on my team.
Cons: Promo criteria and documenting your accomplishments/business impact is kind of dumb, and everyone knows it.
Leadership feels opaque/disconnected from engineering teams, but still gives most of the freedom to teams and ICs to decide what gets done.

Pros: You can make lots of money.
Cons: Skills aren't transferable. Management will lay you or your teammates off. They removed the WFH policy. There are terrible company ethics that will haunt you at night until you organize and/or leave. There are terrible leadership decisions and a lack of agency. They will transfer you or your coworkers onto an AI project they'll trash in a few years.
