Pros: - Superb, industry-leading infrastructure.
- Good internal openness, at least used to have.
- Watch people working on amazing, innovative projects in action.
Cons: Management either seems unaccountable for their results; for example, managers doing terrible things to products get promoted. Or they seem too focused on quick results, harming Google's reputation and overall product in the process.
If you lose sight of what you really want to do in life, it is easy to spend a few years at Google being really comfortable, and then realize you are further away from your goals.
