Pros: Amazing pay, collaborative environment, nice work-life balance.
Cons: No cons working at Google.

Pros: At face value, my salary is probably a little low, but there are a lot of random ways you can get paid here.
Rental car discounts, free food, etc.
I'm pretty happy about the all-in number.
Coworkers are very smart (probably a little too smart, in that I look less good in comparison).
The approach to engineering is very positive.
Cons: The infrastructure is largely custom and it is not good (for front-end). There's no good reason why Google uses all these random front-end frameworks.

Awesome place to work, but coworkers are pretty average
Software Engineer • Former Employee

Pros: Lots of freedom and public exposure with my project, and awesome opportunities to learn from Google's codebase.
Cons: Most of the engineers I worked with weren't unusually talented, and the perks (particularly trips) were often distracting.
