Cons: Lack of free time activity

Pros: - Really fun place. - Very good benefits (free food, gym, massage, monthly bus ticket, events). - Smart people all around. - Good SWE practices. - Good compensation and good career opportunities.

Cons: Everyone is on their own (no teamwork), and your teammates really don't care about you (although they try hard to look like they do, which is "extremely" bad). Google becomes the only thing in your life after some time; they try to make you live on campus by strategically providing everything you need, resulting in a bad work/life balance. People are not passionate about what they do; most of them are actually bored, which affects you as well after some time. Most projects have little impact or provide little real-life value. All in all, it's definitely not a place for people with an entrepreneurial mindset.

Pros: It's a fast-paced environment where employees have a good deal of flexibility on projects they want to work on. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. It seemed like there was a good work-life balance throughout the organization. One thing that was clear was that senior management significantly valued their employees and took every step to take care of them. For example, there were free breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. During the summer, we were taken on a beach trip to Santa Cruz. Overall, it was a fun work environment.

Cons: Google is a very engineering-driven organization. At times, it seems like there are a multitude of different projects going on with very limited business coordination.
