Software Test Engineer Interview Experience - United States

September 5, 2019
Positive ExperienceGot Offer

Process

The interview process consists of an online screen and five on-site interviews.

If you pass the online screen, you will be scheduled for an in-person interview.

The on-site portion is led by five different people from various teams, providing an opportunity to get a feel for the scope of projects.

After the interviews, the team conducts a panel review and extends an offer.

The recruiters drive and schedule the process and are very open with the details.

Questions

Mostly technical algorithm questions, with some testing and design discussions.

Google does a good job giving a lot of prep material and what to expect, which matches the way the on-site and in-person interviews went. So, make sure to read through all the information the recruiters provide.

As well, they offer a mini-prep session either via webcast or on-site, and I recommend attending it.
