A PATHETIC EXPERIENCE

I received a call from the recruiter on April 4th, 2022.

I took a month to prepare and gave all five interviews.

The recruiter called me on May 25th, 2022, to arrange a FIT CALL with the manager, who liked my performance in the interviews.

I was glad to understand the roles and responsibilities of the team and expressed my interest in joining.

I called the recruiter to learn that the manager was positive about hiring me.

My packet was then sent to the Hiring Committee, and the thought of it put me in a celebratory mood.

I received an email where I had to fill in details like my last working day, my notice period, my expected CTC, etc.

I waited for two more weeks and then called the recruiter for an update.

The recruiter never bothered to attend calls or update the candidate on time (I heard this from other candidates too).

The recruiter called me to inform me that two more rounds needed to be taken. I sincerely agreed and had my interviews scheduled (two more weeks again).

My performance was above average in both rounds (6th and 7th).

So, after seven rounds, I waited for the recruiter to update me for another week, and I called him after that (today, July 4th, 2022).

As usual, there was no response.

I received an email with the subject "Following up on your recent application to Google."

The first line said it all: "Thanks so much for interviewing with us."

It was very, very disheartening.

Thank you to all who could read my review. I just wish someday this can be voiced to the higher-ups at Google so that no applicant has to face this.
