Test Engineer is not equivalent to SDET
Google we have to consider as a package, not just salary. Salary, perks, food, facilities, bonuses, shares, etc.
TE is not equivalent to outside SDET/SET (software engineer in test, software developer engineer in test) roles in terms of work and base salary. However, the interviews (complexity, expectation, bar) are equivalent to SDET role interviews of other companies.
