Test Engineer Interview Experience - Mountain View, California
Process
The initial phone screen included a technical question. The interviewer was slightly hard to hear, possibly due to speakerphone.
I was invited for an onsite interview, which consisted of five further interviews.
Overall, it was a great experience. Even without an offer, I would have learned a lot.
I delayed my interviews for about three months (from start to finish) due to personal commitments, and the company was accommodating.

- 2.0Google is not 'googley' anymoreTest Engineer • Current EmployeeMountain View, California, United StatesOctober 25, 2008Pros: Some very smart people and good benefits. All the free food and subsidized massages are good.Cons: The Test Engineering org. is separate from the core engineering org., making it very difficult for the test engineers to make any real impact. Most of the time, the test engineering efforts go unrecognized by the executive management team. The Test Engineering organization is filled with a bunch of very incompetent managers who are solely focused on advancing their own careers.
