I applied for a position online. After a week, I was contacted by a recruiter for an initial background screening. Following this, I had one phone interview.
After the phone interview, I had a campus interview at Google headquarters. This consisted of four 45-minute interviews and one lunch interview. I'm not going to go into detail on the questions because of Google's NDA, but I have to say that out of the four interviews, three were really bad. They wouldn't even pay attention to me half the time and were doing something on their laptops. In one interview, I asked if a test case I wrote represented the correct behavior, and the interviewer said yes at first, but afterwards said it was the opposite behavior, which messed me up.
I didn't feel like I struggled on any of the interviews or that they were difficult. However, if the interviewers are very cold and don't pay attention to you, it can make it hard to get hired.
Only one out of four interviewers gave me a positive interview experience. Personally, I don't like interviewing with someone who doesn't understand their own question or isn't paying attention.
