The initial phone screen was with a recruiter who was professional and punctual.
They were very helpful, asked basic screening questions, and then helped me prepare for the next round of interviews.
The first technical phone screen was confusing as the interviewer had difficulty communicating, used Google Docs for coding questions, and was abrasive. I was able to successfully answer all questions, though I felt the interviewer was not very welcoming.
The next round of interviews was a panel interview with six individuals. Unfortunately, three people had to reschedule, which led to a one-week delay in the interview process.
When the interview was rescheduled, a recruiter accidentally scheduled the wrong time slot, further delaying the timeline by an additional week. This unfortunate delay pushed me into the Google hiring freeze, meaning I most likely would have had a job offer if not for the delays.
All of the interviews were very pleasant and challenging, including the team matching interviews. I had a verbal offer but never received an official offer due to the Google Hiring Freeze. It’s unfortunate that the interview process was not very smooth and streamlined, as I really enjoyed the one-on-one interviews and would have enjoyed working for Google.
I am unable to provide any questions due to my NDA.
