Advice to Management

Try to hire engineers individually, even if the role is temporary. Communication with individual extended workforce employees is lost when you hire a vendor company.

Vendor companies filter out issues employees discover, like breaking changes that require substantial software updates, because vendor managers want to keep their ticket count low. This ended up being discovered by a direct employee late, resulting in rushing.

Vendor companies will work the employees under them all days of the week until work is so rushed that the product breaks, to appease you.
