Interesting work, but it suffers from issues common in large workplaces
- Challenging, interesting problems
- Very capable coworkers
- Reasonable/understanding managers (in my experience, YMMV)
- Suffers from being too large.
- Coordinating work with other teams can be excruciating.
- Documentation is often lacking, and I've noticed a lot of information is more or less kept as tribal knowledge. This happens everywhere, however, so it's not unique to Google.
- Depending on your team, your feature may take months/years to roll out.
Help ensure that the team invests in resources for unblocking work.
