Can be difficult to move up. Being promoted at Google takes a bit of luck in regard to how much internal prestige your assigned team has.
If you don't love what you do, you will be miserable. At Google, whatever your duties are, expect to have them on your mind 24/7. The "work-life" balance is very skewed toward work.
