Good company, could still be improved
- The pace of software development is good.
- There are great perks and benefits.
- The pay is competitive.
- Everyone works hard, and many people are very smart.
The Mountain View campus can be a bit crowded, which is not good for claustrophobic people.
Work-life balance varies amongst teams.
The work given can be bland and boring. Work is very streamlined, without much room to innovate. You are expected to only work on specific tasks, so it feels like you're a small gear in a huge machine.
(Not really a con) I would like to see a Google Toronto Office for Software Engineers rather than a Waterloo Office.
