Google has one of the best engineering cultures of any place. They fully support you and treat you like a valued member, even if you are just starting out. They expect and let you contribute across the enterprise.
As the company has grown, so have the expectations of all projects being large and scalable. Since being able to show impact is the way all projects are measured, all changes must be equally large to be considered valuable.
