While the perks and prestige are nice, by far the best part of working at Google is the people and culture. People are willing to help each other out, answering questions from people they don't know and don't work with regularly, and collaborating to create great solutions.
Working at Google is a great opportunity to work with amazing people, technology, and opportunities.
As the company has grown, the culture has been diluted by rapid growth.
Some teams have a great culture; others are shaped by culture imported from other companies. Further, the company has not consistently adjusted how it does business for its size, which has caused growing pains.
Focus on management development. Developing managers and guiding them in developing their people will continue to keep the company's culture and values.
