After a 5-minute introduction, I was given one algorithm live coding challenge.
The process itself was not that different from others',
but the interviewer didn't seem diligent in keeping up with learning. He didn't understand when I explained how my current team works and what framework or architecture we use, even though these are quite well-known. As far as I know, the Grab team even uses one of these frameworks!
He mentioned he wasn't a developer previously.
Also, he didn't play the role of an ordinary guide during the pair live coding; he just observed. I wondered whether he had solved and tested the problem before the interview. If so, how can Grab be so irresponsible with its interviews?
Interviewers represent the company, and interviewees also view the company through the interviewer's behavior.
So, he was one of the worst interviewers I've ever faced.
