I participated in a hiring drive at Grab, Bangalore, for the Software Engineer (Backend) role in Singapore.
I was given a Codility test to solve. It was an easy question.
A week later, I received an email informing me of my selection for the F2F (face-to-face) interview at the Bangalore office.
In the first round, I was asked to code a real-world problem. I reduced that problem to a basic algorithmic problem and stated the data structure I would use. The interviewer asked for all the internal details of the data structure I would use, along with some follow-up questions.
In the second round, it was a design round. The interviewer focused on scalability the whole time.
It didn't go my way in the round, and I was asked to leave for the day.
