Pros

Potentially high impact and opportunity to work with talented engineers.

Cons

Politics here and there, especially after the layoff in 2023. Managers in higher-cost regions like SG held back much more resources and tended to edge out engineers in lower-cost regions like ID, MY, VN. They did this in a very obvious way to prevent giving impactful opportunities to engineers residing in those areas, while keeping influence in their own hands and also not giving too much career support to those engineers.

Work-life balance is terrible for certain teams where managers do not evaluate the bandwidth of the teams and always assume team members can work overtime. They tend to please upper management while giving absurdly intense pressure on ICs.
