Received a programming exercise to complete in a week. It was pretty simple.

Onsite interview with 5 developers/SDETs and HR.

The first two SDETs had been with the company for less than six months and seemed pretty clueless during the interview. They asked me how I would test a service they use at Groupon. Their questions were vague and pointless. They also asked about recursion and design patterns.

The second round was with the VP of Engineering. It was a great conversation about algorithms:

• How would you select 100 random lines from a file with one million lines, given that you cannot read the entire file into memory?
• Given an integer array containing numbers from 1 to 1000, where some numbers are missing, find those missing numbers.

Lunch interview with 2 SDETs. This was a casual conversation about the position and my past experience.
